  • Get a job which allows you to stay off the streets. Having a high-paying job and working to support your family may allow you to take care of yourself. You really do not have to depend on someone if you are an adult who is able-bodied and can work for 40 hours every week. Most employed people are able to issue monthly mortgage payments to their lenders so as to avoid being homeless. Such employed individuals take care of themselves by making sure they have adequate shelter.
